Join this art and yoga retreat and experience deep connection and healing for your body and mind at the River of the Heart retreat led by cousins Laurie Smith and Janet Crawley.
Through a soothing restorative yoga practice, meditation, crystal bowl sound experience, and playful art, you will feel relaxed and renewed with a more joyful outlook.
Restorative Yoga
Restorative yoga allows your body to be fully supported with blankets, bolsters, straps, and blocks, giving your muscles permission to melt and relax. You will enjoy each pose for an extended amount of time while using gravity to release tension and habitual gripping.
Relaxing and Healing Sound Bath
Enjoy the sound vibrations of the crystal bowls, each tuned to one of your chakras. Your body creates a resonance with the bowls, vibrating at 432 Hz, to correct any imbalances in your energy system. As you allow your body to soften and open, the resonance fills and surrounds you, melting away all tension.
Create Beautiful Art with Alcohol Ink
In the afternoon you’ll have fun playing with colorful alcohol inks as Janet teaches you the simple process of dripping vibrant ink colors onto paper and allowing them to flow into beautiful patterns.
A Full Day Immersion of Art and Yoga for Rejuvenation and Self-Care

Bring a yoga mat, blanket, warm socks, water bottle, and a sack lunch. (Or, choose to go out for lunch. There are many excellent restaurants within 3-4 blocks of the venue.)
We start at 9:30. Lunch is from 12:30 to 1:30. The afternoon session is from 1:30 to 4:00.
Yes. There's a large parking lot at the community center, plus there's on-street parking available. There is no charge for parking.
